Very little meaning, and a lot of pressure to “post every day” because someone, somewhere, said you should.
Look around. You’ll start to notice it. Brands are beginning to look and sound the same. Watered down visually or verbally, all saying the same damn thing (see: the countless Spring Into Style campaigns we’ve endured this year).
Attention is no longer courted or earned. It’s hooked, hacked, and capitalized on. Trends are chased for the sake of relevance, without consideration of brand resonance. And then there’s the big, fat cherry on top: AI slop.
To say the least and like many, we were uninspired. As creatives. As marketers. As people.
So, over too many sweet cream cold brews, after enough voice notes to fill our iCloud storage, and with a not-so-gentle push from the universe, Marlowe was born.
And our mission? It’s simple, really.
To make marketing feel less like noise and more like meaning. For us, that looks like building brands with taste, intention, and experiences that linger long after the scroll stops.

We are MARLOWE. And MARLOWE is many things. It began as an idea, like a book on your reading list you never quite got around to, but that inspired you nonetheless. Over time, MARLOWE evolved and began taking shape into something real. And now, MARLOWE is three pals creating a space for meaningful work.
At the crux of it, MARLOWE is a boutique creative marketing agency here to help entrepreneurs and business owners navigate the waves of AI, find their voice, and create brands they’re proud of: brands that don’t just sell, but create experiences.
But beyond our swath of creative services, MARLOWE is a movement. One that puts people first, platforms second. One that believes you should have something to say, and the art to say it well. A movement that believes less is more, taste matters more than trends, and that there’s value in leaning on lived experience (not just AI suggestions). Above all, we believe in being human at the core, creating for people’s emotions, habits, and delight. If any of this resonates with you, then consider yourself a friend of MARLOWE.

What’s In A Name?
We take our name from Christopher Marlowe, Elizabethan playwright, provocateur, and creative who didn’t colour inside the lines. Marlowe didn’t play by the rules, and neither do we. (No, we’re not playwrights, but we are still epic storytellers).
Our inspiration dates back to the ancient Roman poet, Virgil. (This is where I’ll step out from behind the collective “we” for a moment because every brand starts with a personal obsession). In Virgil’s Aeneid, there’s a character nestled within the larger story that stayed with me long after I first read the work. It’s Dido, The Queen of Carthage. An enigmatic character whose story left me wanting more. It seems I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. Enter, Christopher Marlowe who wrote an entire play dedicated to Dido. Did I read it? Yes. Was it worth the read? Absolutely.
But, perhaps more fascinating was how the Aeneid written around 19-29 BC inspired Marlowe nearly 1,500 years later. And then me, over 2,000 years later. In a very similar way. That’s what it means for something to be classic. When something is so timelessly resonant that it ripples out through eras. Reverentially, I thought I’d like to create something like that.
It’s as though building on something that reaches far back lays the foundation to carry a legacy. Reaching back to go forward. Rooted in the present, but stretching toward a time both before and after you. That’s classic.
So, here we are today, a boutique creative marketing agency inspired by the classics, creating for the modern entrepreneur.
Why We’re Here
Which brings us back to where we started.
Marketing doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. It doesn’t have to chase to be seen. And it doesn’t have to sacrifice soul for strategy.
